Our student success

Every success counts and we’re proud of them all. At our school, we celebrate the achievements of our students in every area of school life. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the field or beyond school, we’re proud to support every student to do their best and reach their goals.

Academic Success

Our students achieved outstanding HSC results in 2024. Five students made the Distinguished Achievers List, many reached personal bests, and all VET students earned their certificates. Macintyre High School continues to provide quality education and excellent opportunities.

The Distinguished Achievers list shows students who achieved a result in the highest band (Band 6 or Band E4) for one or more courses.

Success beyond the classroom

Congratulations to Ella Gleeson who was selected in the NSW Schools Rugby Under 18s 1s team. Ella represented NSW at the Australian Schools Rugby Championships in July at the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

The NSW team had an impressive run, clinching victories against ACT, VIC, WA, QLD White, QLD Maroon, and NSW 2s during the competition rounds.

However, in the fast-paced game of 7s rugby, things changed swiftly during the grand final and they faced a narrow defeat against QLD Maroon in the final moments of the championship. Nonetheless, this experience was invaluable for Ella, providing her with opportunities for growth and learning in the sport and still walking away with second place overall in the Australian Schools Rugby Championships.
